I’m Paul, a learning designer based in Scotland. If you're looking for ideas about how to create effective learning, let's talk.
I’ve worked across higher education and educational publishing with a specialism in student wellbeing and research skills. Often sitting between subject experts, editors and delivery teams, I enjoy asking questions, visualising the learner journey, and helping making sure pedagogy feels clear, purposeful and human.

I start by understanding your learner profiles and goals for the project, conducting user research to set a clear direction for the project. If you already have a learning solution in place, we can review how this can be reimagined and adapted.

We’ll define learner expectations and draft an alpha version of the course, outlining interactivity, multimedia and scenarios to ensure engagement. We'll work together on outlining what interactivity, multimedia elements and video interviews are needed as well as what scenarios and stories we can use to ensure learner engagement.

Next, I'll embed ongoing user invovlement through user testing, live reviews and structured feedback to validate functionality, usability and design. We’ll refine the content and move towards publication with confidence that it works for learners.
